# Droppath Route Planner vs Route Maker

The clearest difference is rating: Droppath Route Planner at 4.7 against Route Maker's 3.2. Droppath Route Planner also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (1.5K vs 14). Route Maker's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Droppath Route Planner sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and Route Maker sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Droppath Route Planner holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Droppath Route Planner has 1.5K ratings behind it against 14, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 54% of Droppath Route Planner's written reviews are positive against 51% of Route Maker's.
