# Task vs Reminder Alert

The clearest difference is price: Reminder Alert at Free against Task's $0.99. Reminder Alert also leads on update cadence (every 8 days vs every 2 months). Task's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (108 vs 1). On ads, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Reminder Alert is free to download; Task costs $0.99 up front. Task sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Reminder Alert sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Task holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Task has 108 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Task ships an update every 2 months, Reminder Alert every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
