# Creative Knitting vs Crochet Now

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Crochet Now at 75% against Creative Knitting's 0%. Crochet Now also leads on rating (4.8 vs 1.2) and monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription). Creative Knitting's advantage is update cadence (every 9 months vs every 23 months) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 13.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Creative Knitting sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $21.99 per month and Crochet Now sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $26.99 per 6 months. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Crochet Now holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 1.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Crochet Now has 40 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 0% of Creative Knitting's written reviews are positive against 75% of Crochet Now's.

Creative Knitting ships an update every 9 months, Crochet Now every 23 months. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
