# 1688 vs Vendorstack

The clearest difference is monetization model: Vendorstack at free against 1688's free with in-app purchases. Vendorstack also leads on rating (4.3 vs 4.0) and review sentiment (50% vs 36%). 1688's advantage is ratings volume (1.2K vs 37) and chart position (#104 vs unranked). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Vendorstack holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 1688 has 1.2K ratings behind it against 37, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 36% of 1688's written reviews are positive against 50% of Vendorstack's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
