# NOTE'd vs Notes

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Notes at 100% against NOTE'd's 45%. Notes also leads on rating (4.9 vs 3.3) and ads (none vs shown). NOTE'd's advantage is ratings volume (354 vs 8) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.6). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NOTE'd sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Notes sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Notes holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: NOTE'd has 354 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 45% of NOTE'd's written reviews are positive against 100% of Notes's.

NOTE'd ships an update every 6 weeks, Notes every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
