# NOTE'd vs Notepad

The clearest difference is rating: Notepad at 5.0 against NOTE'd's 3.3. NOTE'd's advantage is update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 11 months) and ratings volume (354 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NOTE'd sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Notepad sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Notepad holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: NOTE'd has 354 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

NOTE'd ships an update every 6 weeks, Notepad every 11 months. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and September 15, 2026 respectively.
