# Covideo vs iLot

The clearest difference is rating: Covideo at 4.7 against iLot's 3.5. Covideo also leads on ratings volume (4.7K vs 15) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 4 months). iLot's advantage is monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Covideo holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Covideo has 4.7K ratings behind it against 15, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 67% of Covideo's written reviews are positive against 50% of iLot's.

Covideo ships an update every 3 weeks, iLot every 4 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
