# 96.1 BBB vs Rock 92.3

The clearest difference is ads: 96.1 BBB at none against Rock 92.3's shown. 96.1 BBB also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.1). Rock 92.3's advantage is rating (2.1 vs 1.8) and ratings volume (27 vs 5). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Rock 92.3 holds the better App Store score, 2.1 against 1.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Rock 92.3 has 27 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 57% of 96.1 BBB's written reviews are positive against 55% of Rock 92.3's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
