# Scary Prank vs Snap Ghost

The clearest difference is ads: Scary Prank at none against Snap Ghost's shown. Scary Prank also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 76 months) and review sentiment (79% vs 71%). Snap Ghost's advantage is rating (4.2 vs 3.9) and ratings volume (219 vs 17). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Scary Prank sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Snap Ghost sells 9 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Snap Ghost holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Snap Ghost has 219 ratings behind it against 17, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 79% of Scary Prank's written reviews are positive against 71% of Snap Ghost's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Scary Prank ships an update monthly, Snap Ghost every 76 months. Both last shipped on October 29, 2026.
