# Move the Turtle vs Prodigy for Parents

The clearest difference is price: Prodigy for Parents at Free against Move the Turtle's $3.99. Prodigy for Parents also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (15K vs 14). Move the Turtle's advantage is review sentiment (75% vs 51%) and iOS requirement (9.3 vs 15.1). On ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Prodigy for Parents is free to download; Move the Turtle costs $3.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Prodigy for Parents holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Prodigy for Parents has 15K ratings behind it against 14, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of Move the Turtle's written reviews are positive against 51% of Prodigy for Parents's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Move the Turtle ships an update every 6 months, Prodigy for Parents every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
