# Autograph + vs Signature

The clearest difference is price: Signature at Free against Autograph +'s $1.99. Signature also leads on rating (4.6 vs 2.8) and update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 10 months). Autograph +'s advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 11%) and in-app purchases (none vs 2). On ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Signature is free to download; Autograph + costs $1.99 up front. Signature sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per year. Autograph + asks for nothing beyond the download.

Signature holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 2.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Signature has 2.6K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Autograph +'s written reviews are positive against 11% of Signature's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Autograph + ships an update every 10 months, Signature every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
