# Humanist vs HB

The clearest difference is device support: HB at 3 against Humanist's 1. HB also leads on iOS requirement (17.6 vs 26.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Humanist sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per year and HB sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
