# Hot 101.9 vs CueBox Ticket Scanner

Hot 101.9 and CueBox Ticket Scanner both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of CueBox Ticket Scanner's written reviews are positive against 75% of Hot 101.9's. CueBox Ticket Scanner also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 6 months). Hot 101.9's advantage is ratings volume (395 vs 2). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Hot 101.9 holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hot 101.9 has 395 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of Hot 101.9's written reviews are positive against 100% of CueBox Ticket Scanner's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Hot 101.9 ships an update every 6 months, CueBox Ticket Scanner every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
