# Units Free vs Read Offline Web

The clearest difference is update cadence: Read Offline Web at every 2 weeks against Units Free's every 5 months. Units Free's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs paid) and iOS requirement (5.1.1 vs 15.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Units Free sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Read Offline Web sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Units Free ships an update every 5 months, Read Offline Web every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
