The clearest difference is rating: VEGA Tools at 4.6 against AMS Device Configurator's 4.2. VEGA Tools also leads on ratings volume (21 vs 5) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 26.0). AMS Device Configurator's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 80%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

VEGA Tools holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 21 and 5 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 80% of VEGA Tools's written reviews are positive against 100% of AMS Device Configurator's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
