# SAS Visual Analytics vs APA Pilot

The clearest difference is rating: SAS Visual Analytics at 5.0 against APA Pilot's 3.5. APA Pilot's advantage is ratings volume (417 vs 3) and review sentiment (29% vs 20%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SAS Visual Analytics holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: APA Pilot has 417 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 20% of SAS Visual Analytics's written reviews are positive against 29% of APA Pilot's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly monthly. The most recent releases landed on September 26, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
