# Wemo vs TrickleStar App

The clearest difference is review sentiment: TrickleStar App at 100% against Wemo's 7%. TrickleStar App also leads on iOS requirement (8.0 vs 13.0). Wemo's advantage is rating (4.0 vs 2.0) and ratings volume (117K vs 6). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Wemo holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Wemo has 117K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 7% of Wemo's written reviews are positive against 100% of TrickleStar App's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Wemo ships an update every 2 months, TrickleStar App every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and September 23, 2026 respectively.
