# The Strad vs CHARSUR VODCAST

The clearest difference is rating: CHARSUR VODCAST at 5.0 against The Strad's 4.3. CHARSUR VODCAST also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 7 months). The Strad's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and ratings volume (38 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. The Strad sells 24 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per 3 months and CHARSUR VODCAST sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $7.00 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

CHARSUR VODCAST holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: The Strad has 38 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

The Strad ships an update every 7 months, CHARSUR VODCAST every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
