# Pantry Manager vs Homechart

The clearest difference is price: Homechart at Free against Pantry Manager's $3.99. Homechart also leads on rating (4.3 vs 3.6). Pantry Manager's advantage is ratings volume (80 vs 6) and chart position (#196 vs unranked). On review sentiment, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Homechart is free to download; Pantry Manager costs $3.99 up front. Pantry Manager sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Homechart sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Homechart holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pantry Manager has 80 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 51% of Pantry Manager's written reviews are positive against 50% of Homechart's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Pantry Manager ships an update every 3 weeks, Homechart every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
