# Airtasker vs Pegs

The clearest difference is monetization model: Pegs at free against Airtasker's free with in-app purchases. Pegs also leads on review sentiment (64% vs 45%) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). Airtasker's advantage is ratings volume (3K vs 2) and update cadence (weekly vs monthly). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Pegs holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Airtasker has 3K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 45% of Airtasker's written reviews are positive against 64% of Pegs's.

Airtasker ships an update weekly, Pegs monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
