# Pivot Legacy vs AcresTV

The clearest difference is monetization model: Pivot Legacy at free against AcresTV's free with in-app purchases. Pivot Legacy also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 16.6). AcresTV's advantage is ratings volume (61 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Pivot Legacy holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AcresTV has 61 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Pivot Legacy ships an update every 2 months, AcresTV every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
