# CE HVAC Pro+ vs RE Michel

The clearest difference is monetization model: RE Michel at free against CE HVAC Pro+'s free with in-app purchases. RE Michel also leads on update cadence (every 6 days vs every 3 weeks) and iOS requirement (9.3 vs 16.0). CE HVAC Pro+'s advantage is ratings volume (1.6K vs 5). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for CE HVAC Pro+ against 4.6 for RE Michel. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CE HVAC Pro+ has 1.6K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two.

CE HVAC Pro+ ships an update every 3 weeks, RE Michel every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
