# Journal de Québec vs Le Devoir pour iPad

The clearest difference is monetization model: Le Devoir pour iPad at free with in-app purchases against Journal de Québec's subscription. Le Devoir pour iPad also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 13 months). Journal de Québec's advantage is review sentiment (48% vs 25%) and ratings volume (29 vs 5). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Journal de Québec sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per month and Le Devoir pour iPad sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
