# MVTV vs 34HD

The clearest difference is ads: MVTV at none against 34HD's shown. MVTV also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 65%) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). 34HD's advantage is rating (3.4 vs 3.0) and ratings volume (11 vs 1). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

34HD holds the better App Store score, 3.4 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 34HD has 11 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of MVTV's written reviews are positive against 65% of 34HD's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
