# Subway Surfers vs Super Phantom Cat 2

The clearest difference is update cadence: Subway Surfers at weekly against Super Phantom Cat 2's every 2 months. Subway Surfers also leads on ratings volume (3.9M vs 23K) and chart position (#7 vs unranked). Super Phantom Cat 2's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Subway Surfers sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and Super Phantom Cat 2 sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Super Phantom Cat 2 holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Subway Surfers has 3.9M ratings behind it against 23K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 87% of Subway Surfers's written reviews are positive against 79% of Super Phantom Cat 2's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Subway Surfers ships an update weekly, Super Phantom Cat 2 every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 31, 2026.
