# Chicken Invaders 3 Easter HD vs Star Thunder

The clearest difference is rating: Star Thunder at 4.5 against Chicken Invaders 3 Easter HD's 3.5. Star Thunder also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 17 months) and ratings volume (70 vs 4). Chicken Invaders 3 Easter HD's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 15.0). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Chicken Invaders 3 Easter HD sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Star Thunder sells 7 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Star Thunder holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Star Thunder has 70 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 43% of Chicken Invaders 3 Easter HD's written reviews are positive against 38% of Star Thunder's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Chicken Invaders 3 Easter HD ships an update every 17 months, Star Thunder fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
