# Real Diary Lite vs Lemon Diary

The clearest difference is rating: Lemon Diary at 4.6 against Real Diary Lite's 4.0. Lemon Diary also leads on ratings volume (1.2K vs 4) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). Real Diary Lite's advantage is iOS requirement (11.0 vs 13.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Real Diary Lite sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Lemon Diary sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Lemon Diary holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Lemon Diary has 1.2K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 82% of Real Diary Lite's written reviews are positive against 80% of Lemon Diary's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Real Diary Lite ships an update every 2 months, Lemon Diary fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
