# 大麦 vs Fantopia

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Fantopia at 63% against 大麦's 8%. Fantopia also leads on rating (5.0 vs 2.3) and monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). 大麦's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (435 vs 1). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 大麦 sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Fantopia sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Fantopia holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 大麦 has 435 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 8% of 大麦's written reviews are positive against 63% of Fantopia's.

大麦 ships an update every 2 weeks, Fantopia weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
