# nemlig vs Scandlines

nemlig and Scandlines both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 78% of nemlig's written reviews are positive against 20% of Scandlines's. nemlig also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (276 vs 24). Scandlines's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for nemlig against 4.7 for Scandlines. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: nemlig has 276 ratings behind it against 24, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 78% of nemlig's written reviews are positive against 20% of Scandlines's.

nemlig ships an update fortnightly, Scandlines every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
