# Text Me vs Text Vault

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Text Vault at 77% against Text Me's 29%. Text Vault also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.0). Text Me's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.4) and ratings volume (674K vs 23K). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Text Me sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Text Vault sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Text Me holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Text Me has 674K ratings behind it against 23K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 29% of Text Me's written reviews are positive against 77% of Text Vault's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Text Me ships an update fortnightly, Text Vault every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 31, 2026.
