# Text Me vs BBB app

Text Me and BBB app both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of BBB app's written reviews are positive against 29% of Text Me's. BBB app also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 15) and ads (none vs shown). Text Me's advantage is ratings volume (674K vs 3) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). On price, rating and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Text Me sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. BBB app asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Text Me against 4.7 for BBB app. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Text Me has 674K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 29% of Text Me's written reviews are positive against 100% of BBB app's.

Text Me ships an update fortnightly, BBB app every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
