# Tiny Calendar vs Event Planner

The clearest difference is monetization model: Event Planner at free with in-app purchases against Tiny Calendar's subscription. Event Planner also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months). Tiny Calendar's advantage is ratings volume (21K vs 28) and rating (4.6 vs 4.3). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tiny Calendar sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per 7 days and Event Planner sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Tiny Calendar holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tiny Calendar has 21K ratings behind it against 28, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 76% and 76% positive.

Tiny Calendar ships an update every 2 months, Event Planner weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
