# Tiny Calendar vs Calendar

The clearest difference is monetization model: Calendar at freemium against Tiny Calendar's subscription. Calendar also leads on ads (none vs shown). Tiny Calendar's advantage is ratings volume (21K vs 35). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tiny Calendar sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per 7 days and Calendar sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Tiny Calendar against 4.5 for Calendar. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tiny Calendar has 21K ratings behind it against 35, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 76% of Tiny Calendar's written reviews are positive against 75% of Calendar's.

Tiny Calendar ships an update every 2 months, Calendar every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
