# Office Plus vs FileMate

The clearest difference is rating: FileMate at 4.6 against Office Plus's 3.6. FileMate also leads on ratings volume (378 vs 5). Office Plus's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 13.0). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Office Plus sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and FileMate sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

FileMate holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FileMate has 378 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 78% of Office Plus's written reviews are positive against 75% of FileMate's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 28, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
