# Magic Guide vs Universal Studios Hollywood™

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Universal Studios Hollywood™ at none against Magic Guide's 4. Universal Studios Hollywood™ also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (211K vs 1.9K). Magic Guide's advantage is device support (3 vs 1). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Magic Guide sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Universal Studios Hollywood™ asks for nothing beyond the download.

Universal Studios Hollywood™ holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Universal Studios Hollywood™ has 211K ratings behind it against 1.9K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 59% of Magic Guide's written reviews are positive against 54% of Universal Studios Hollywood™'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Magic Guide ships an update every 3 weeks, Universal Studios Hollywood™ monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
