# Magic Guide vs Coaster Logger

Magic Guide and Coaster Logger both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Coaster Logger's written reviews are positive against 59% of Magic Guide's. Coaster Logger also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). Magic Guide's advantage is ratings volume (1.8K vs 11). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Magic Guide sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and Coaster Logger sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Magic Guide holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Magic Guide has 1.8K ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 59% of Magic Guide's written reviews are positive against 100% of Coaster Logger's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Magic Guide ships an update every 3 weeks, Coaster Logger weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
