# ReceiptBox vs Tooday

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Tooday at 100% against ReceiptBox's 50%. ReceiptBox's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.0) and update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ReceiptBox holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 3 and 1 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of ReceiptBox's written reviews are positive against 100% of Tooday's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ReceiptBox ships an update every 5 weeks, Tooday every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
