# Penguin Roll vs Fly Challenge

The clearest difference is price: Fly Challenge at Free against Penguin Roll's $0.99. Fly Challenge also leads on rating (4.2 vs 3.1) and ratings volume (1.3K vs 20). Penguin Roll's advantage is review sentiment (67% vs 27%) and in-app purchases (none vs 20). On update cadence, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Fly Challenge is free to download; Penguin Roll costs $0.99 up front. Fly Challenge sells 20 one-off in-app purchases. Penguin Roll asks for nothing beyond the download.

Fly Challenge holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fly Challenge has 1.3K ratings behind it against 20, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Penguin Roll's written reviews are positive against 27% of Fly Challenge's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Penguin Roll ships an update every 3 months, Fly Challenge every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
