The clearest difference is price: Planetary Hours by Planetaro at Free against HoraWatch's $0.99. Planetary Hours by Planetaro also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 months) and ratings volume (1.7K vs 131). HoraWatch's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 17.0). On rating, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Planetary Hours by Planetaro is free to download; HoraWatch costs $0.99 up front. Planetary Hours by Planetaro sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. HoraWatch asks for nothing beyond the download.

Planetary Hours by Planetaro holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Planetary Hours by Planetaro has 1.7K ratings behind it against 131, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 76% of HoraWatch's written reviews are positive against 70% of Planetary Hours by Planetaro's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
