# MyCountdown vs Countdown Timer

The clearest difference is rating: Countdown Timer at 4.5 against MyCountdown's 3.3. Countdown Timer also leads on ratings volume (1.4K vs 4). MyCountdown's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (71% vs 60%). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MyCountdown sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Countdown Timer sells 15 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Countdown Timer holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Countdown Timer has 1.4K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of MyCountdown's written reviews are positive against 60% of Countdown Timer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MyCountdown ships an update every 6 weeks, Countdown Timer every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
