# MyCountdown vs Countdown Widget Timer

The clearest difference is rating: Countdown Widget Timer at 4.6 against MyCountdown's 3.3. Countdown Widget Timer also leads on ratings volume (484 vs 4) and device support (4 vs 2). MyCountdown's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (71% vs 43%). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MyCountdown sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Countdown Widget Timer sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Countdown Widget Timer holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Countdown Widget Timer has 484 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of MyCountdown's written reviews are positive against 43% of Countdown Widget Timer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
