# Bass Constructor vs Astral Hunter

The clearest difference is rating: Astral Hunter at 4.3 against Bass Constructor's 3.7. Astral Hunter also leads on update cadence (every 10 days vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (16 vs 3). Bass Constructor's advantage is review sentiment (77% vs 50%) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 12.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Bass Constructor sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and Astral Hunter sells 8 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Astral Hunter holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Astral Hunter has 16 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 77% of Bass Constructor's written reviews are positive against 50% of Astral Hunter's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Bass Constructor ships an update every 3 months, Astral Hunter every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
