# TurfHunt vs CIEE Study Abroad

The clearest difference is review sentiment: CIEE Study Abroad at 83% against TurfHunt's 47%. CIEE Study Abroad also leads on update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 3 months). TurfHunt's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (391 vs 6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

TurfHunt holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TurfHunt has 391 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 47% of TurfHunt's written reviews are positive against 83% of CIEE Study Abroad's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

TurfHunt ships an update every 3 months, CIEE Study Abroad every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
