# Pro Compass vs Compass

The clearest difference is price: Compass at Free against Pro Compass's $1.99. Compass also leads on rating (4.7 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (2.3K vs 73). Pro Compass's advantage is chart position (#148 vs unranked). On review sentiment, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Compass is free to download; Pro Compass costs $1.99 up front. Pro Compass sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Compass sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Compass holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Compass has 2.3K ratings behind it against 73, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 72% of Pro Compass's written reviews are positive against 67% of Compass's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Pro Compass ships an update every 6 months, Compass every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
