# Emburse Professional vs SmartSite Plus

The clearest difference is rating: SmartSite Plus at 5.0 against Emburse Professional's 4.6. SmartSite Plus also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.0). Emburse Professional's advantage is ratings volume (13K vs 2) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SmartSite Plus holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Emburse Professional has 13K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Emburse Professional ships an update every 3 weeks, SmartSite Plus every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
