# GolfStatus vs Match Card Pro

The clearest difference is monetization model: Match Card Pro at free against GolfStatus's free with in-app purchases. Match Card Pro also leads on update cadence (every 10 days vs monthly) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). GolfStatus's advantage is ratings volume (639 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Match Card Pro holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GolfStatus has 639 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

GolfStatus ships an update monthly, Match Card Pro every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
