# USMLE Flashcards vs OET Master

The clearest difference is rating: USMLE Flashcards at 5.0 against OET Master's 2.0. USMLE Flashcards also leads on ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 15.6). OET Master's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 9 months). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. USMLE Flashcards sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per month and OET Master sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

USMLE Flashcards holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 2 and 5 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of USMLE Flashcards's written reviews are positive against 50% of OET Master's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

USMLE Flashcards ships an update every 9 months, OET Master fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
