# Planday Employee Scheduling vs PinShift Manager

The clearest difference is rating: Planday Employee Scheduling at 4.5 against PinShift Manager's 3.0. Planday Employee Scheduling also leads on ratings volume (4.3K vs 2). PinShift Manager's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and review sentiment (50% vs 40%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Planday Employee Scheduling holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Planday Employee Scheduling has 4.3K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 40% of Planday Employee Scheduling's written reviews are positive against 50% of PinShift Manager's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
