# REEV vs Melodee

The clearest difference is rating: Melodee at 4.8 against REEV's 2.9. Melodee also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1). REEV's advantage is ratings volume (31 vs 5) and iOS requirement (18.2 vs 26.0). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. REEV sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Melodee asks for nothing beyond the download.

Melodee holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: REEV has 31 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 58% of REEV's written reviews are positive against 50% of Melodee's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

REEV ships an update every 3 weeks, Melodee monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
