# Tripomatic Trip Planner & Maps vs Trips2Go

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Trips2Go at none against Tripomatic Trip Planner & Maps's 10. Trips2Go also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (5.0 vs 4.6). Tripomatic Trip Planner & Maps's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (3.3K vs 2). On price, review sentiment and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tripomatic Trip Planner & Maps sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Trips2Go asks for nothing beyond the download.

Trips2Go holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tripomatic Trip Planner & Maps has 3.3K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 57% of Tripomatic Trip Planner & Maps's written reviews are positive against 50% of Trips2Go's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Tripomatic Trip Planner & Maps ships an update every 2 weeks, Trips2Go every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
